What I Know For Sure

Do It Yourself Toile Ottoman

This is the little ottoman we made years ago.

It doesn't really have a proper name, like much of the other furniture living at Witt's End, we just call it Mom's Ottoman.

These past few years, it's cushion has become less cushy, the fabric worn.  Then a few weeks ago it actually ripped.

And even I finally admitted it was time for a reupholstery job.

So, We took off it's cute little bun feet.

Pulled out the old staples and fabric, scrapped off the old foam.

Installed new foam so it's nice and cushy once again.

And recovered it in some lovely toile fabric I had left over from curtain creating.

It's so cute I'm not certain I'll be able to put my feet on it!
