This weekend we're asking for 33 of your own words that exorcise a demon. One of your own, or one from your imagination.
33 words only to exorcise a demon; it isn’t many. Demons are strong and tenacious, with sharp talons and gnarled claws and stringy muscles.
I don’t like ‘em one teeny tiny bit. {I don’t suppose you do either.}
But demons are in our heads. They make up our psyches and muck around with our memories.
And I dunno if I can exorcise the little suckers in just 33 words. But I can think about it.
So below, Dear Reader, please find my 33; cast into my usual fragments and italics with a smart-alec edge and a visual bright in my mind’s eye.
Blood writing; thick upon the page.
{Yes, a medieval mindset, though oh so fulfilling that purple prose.}
Cause I can stand. Tiny wing nubs sprouting, feathers whirling, and look at me now….
Liftoff.
