Dinner, Dessert, & A Movie~ 2/13/11

~Sunday Dinner & A Movie~

This week's movie was The House of Dies Drear.

Everyone was rather uncertain about it at first.  It's a "Wonder Works" PBS production, and the beginning looked pretty campy, and the acting wasn't exactly top notch.

But surprisingly we all wound up liking it.  {Sometimes you just have to stick with a movie, don't you?}

Plus it goes well with our Black History studies this month.

On the Menu:  Chicken Florentine.  From Chef Paul Prudhomme's Seasoned America.  Very good, spice filled recipe.

(I even like it.  And I do not like spinach!)

Also green salad & vegies & dip

Wilting spinach 8865

Wilting the Spinach & Parmesan Cheese.

Chicken flor 8871

Laying the preseasoned & browned chicken atop the wilted spinach & letting it all simmer tll done.

{Honestly it looked better than this pic shows.  I think food never photographs well unless it's a professional photograph.  Not me on the spur of the moment, while standing on an stool so I'm tall enough!}

Dessert was chocolate pudding cake.  Naturally it didn't stick around long enough for me to snap a picture!

Bon appetit!
