Trifextra:  Week Forty-Eight

This weekend we're asking for 33 of your own words that exorcise a demon.  One of your own, or one from your imagination.  

33 words only to exorcise a demon; it isn’t many.  Demons are strong and tenacious, with sharp talons and gnarled claws and stringy muscles.

I don’t like ‘em one teeny tiny bit.  {I don’t suppose you do either.}

But demons are in our heads.  They make up our psyches and muck around with our memories.

And I dunno if I can exorcise the little suckers in just 33 words.  But I can think about it.

So below, Dear Reader, please find my 33; cast into my usual fragments and italics with a smart-alec edge and a visual bright in my mind’s eye.


Blood writing; thick upon the page.

{Yes, a medieval mindset, though oh so fulfilling that purple prose.}

Cause I can stand.  Tiny wing nubs sprouting, feathers whirling, and look at me now….
