Keeping A Daybook

Outside my window...it is snowy and cold, though the storm every weatherperson promised last night has yet to materialize. (This annoys me). I am waiting for more snow!

I am thinking...how lovely it is not to have quite so many commitments of late. Though the schedule is still full to bursting – it’s amazing how letting go of just one or two “have to” items lightens things up.

{And makes you realize you really don’t “have to”.}

I am thankful...for wood fires (which do not smoke), the dishwasher, the owl lantern on the windowsill in the evening.

In the kitchen...last night it was chili, tonight…? I’ve no idea. The February menu has, for some strange reason, failed to materialize.

I may actually have to sit down and write it myself.  Crap.

I am wearing...grey sweats, long T shirt, blue muc lucs, grey sweater. An overwhelmed expression.

I am creating...words in various order.

I am going...to get the remainder of these boxes of Christmas downstairs. {Yes really. And yes it’s February here too.}

Somehow. {They are too heavy for me. Help!}

I am wondering...how the schedule will go today. We seem to get waylaid every. stinkin. day.

I am reading...Anne Rice Tale of The Body Thief (at bedtime, go figure…), The Book of Awakening by Mark Nepo, Writing to Change the World by Mary Pipher.

I am hoping...for happiness & success.

I am looking forward to...making it to Colorado in #LisaWalksAroundPlanetEarth  {Really. I think about it all the time.

I’ve become even stranger of late.}

I am learning…I am remembering, how self sufficient I am.

Around the house...the laundry needs doing (as always), the joint needs dusted, the school schedule is in need of a good hard tweek. But my closet has recovered from its annual Christmas hurricane and is arranged in the fashion I like it. For now.

I am pondering...how to organize myself better. How to get more accomplished in a better way. And quicker of course. Always quicker.

A favorite quote for today... “Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.”
-Oscar Wilde

One of my favorite things...a handful of almonds and dried tart cherries with a cuppa hot tea.

A few plans for the rest of the week: fencing begins this week for Little Bit – we’ll see how he likes it. (Though what’s not to like- it has swords…)

The usual school, scouts, karate, more school. I’d love to begin the Scouring of Lisa’s Loft this week but we’ll see.

And my mom’s birthday is this week – so we’ll plan a celebration for it.

A peek into my day...

 Thoughts of this running around in my head.
